Description
The Aviator is where Ray-Ban started, drawn in 1937 for US Army Air Corps pilots who needed a lens they could trust against glare at altitude. The teardrop lens, the thin wire rim and the straight bar across the top have barely moved since.
Arista Gold is the polished warm gold finish, and it runs through the rims, the top bar and the wire temples, which finish in brown tips. The B-15 Brown lens is a solid warm brown rather than a gradient, a tint that holds contrast in hard light without turning everything flat.
It comes in two lens widths, 55mm and 58mm. The frame is metal, made in Italy, and the lenses block 100% of UV.
