In 2016, designer Alexia Elkaim set out to make a pair of pants for herself and her friends—taking inspiration from a beloved vintage find she’d picked up in Paris. That one-off piece became the foundation for a brand built on clothing that makes the wearer feel good.

The original jeans quickly gained attention, worn by friends and early supporters, and catapulted Miaou into the spotlight. From there, the brand evolved from its signature trousers into a full ready-to-wear label, offering corsets, dresses, swimwear, and more—each piece designed with the same care, intention, and celebration of the body.

Influenced by Elkaim’s life between Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, Miaou blends vintage inspiration with modern versatility—creating clothing that feels timeless, personal, and effortlessly cool.
