ORTC was started in Adelaide in 2016 by mates Charlie Hender and Will Swale, who wanted to create sophisticated, lasting pieces for a contemporary coastal lifestyle. With no formal design background, the pair started with a small range of men's accessories before launching their first swim line in 2018 and committing to the label full time. That grassroots energy has carried the brand from a local side project to over 200 stockists across Australia and the US.
