Polar Skate Co. was founded in 2011 by professional skateboarder and artist Pontus Alv in Malmo, Sweden. What started as a local skate crew became a globally recognised brand built on creativity, individuality, and the artistic side of skateboarding. Pontus designs many of the brand's distinctive deck graphics himself, drawing on a visual language that sets Polar apart from the more commercialised end of the industry. The label has grown into one of the most respected names in skateboarding worldwide. The Big Boy Shorts are the best seller here, well clear of the rest of the range. Graphic tees do the next most work, with the Pocket, Evol Times, Devil Women and Fill Logo prints all selling through. The Big Boy is Polar's baggy 90s-inspired denim silhouette, in the brand's own words 'our most recognized pant model that built the foundation for our denim range'. It historically carries an embroidered Big Boy character on the back pocket, and the 93 sits alongside it as the other core Polar pant shape.
