Description
The Holbrook is Oakley's square frame: a flat brow, a keyhole bridge and straight temples that run to the ear without a curve. It has been in the range since 2011 and the shape has not needed changing.
Matte black is the plain version of the frame, and here the only relief on it is gold. The Oakley icon set into each temple is finished in gold to pick up the lens, while the rivets at the front corners stay dark.
Lenses are polarised Prizm 24K, a warm gold mirror over a dark base, and one of the louder lenses in the range from the front. Prizm tunes contrast rather than simply cutting light, and the polarising filter takes the flat glare off water, road and bonnet.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium.
