Description
The Wayfarer arrived in 1952 and has barely changed since, which is why the shape still reads as shorthand for a pair of sunglasses. The Mega Wayfarer II takes the same angled trapezoid front and scales it up, so the brow sits higher and the lens covers more of the face.
Transparent pink is the softest colourway in the run, a warm rosy tone you can see straight through, closer to a coral than a candy pink. Silver rivets at the temples and the Ray-Ban logo plate along each arm keep the detailing standard.
The lenses run a light brown gradient into black, warmest at the bottom and deepening across the top. A brown tint warms what you are looking at rather than cooling it down, and it sits naturally against the pink front rather than fighting it.
