Description
The Wayfarer arrived in 1952 and the shape has barely moved since. The Mega Wayfarer II keeps the angled trapezoid front and scales it up, so the rim is thicker, the brow sits higher and the lens covers more of the face.
This is Havana, the classic dark tortoise: deep brown shot through with amber and honey flecks, in a gloss finish that picks the pattern up as the light moves across it. Silver rivets sit at each corner of the front and a white Ray-Ban signature runs along each temple.
The lens is a flat, muted blue that sits close to slate, with no gradient and no mirror. Against the warm tortoise it reads cool and understated rather than bright. It is not polarised, and it comes in 52mm and 55mm lens widths.
