Description
The Holbrook is Oakley's square frame, built on a flat brow, a keyhole bridge and straight temples that run to the ear without a curve. It has been in the range since 2011.
Steel is the grey one, and it is not a flat grey. The finish carries a fine metallic fleck through it that catches the light at close range and reads as plain graphite from a distance. Rivets and the Oakley icon on the temples are left dark, so nothing on the frame competes with it.
Lenses are polarised Prizm Black, a dark tint under a silver mirror, and the one to reach for in bright open light. The polarising filter takes out the flat glare coming off water, road and bonnet, and Prizm works underneath it on contrast, so detail holds rather than washing out.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium.
