Description
The Holbrook is Oakley's squared-off everyday frame: a flat top bar, a keyhole bridge and metal rivets at the front corners. This one is the XL, stamped as such on the bridge, so it runs wider and deeper than the standard Holbrook.
Matte Brown Smoke is translucent rather than solid, a frosted warm brown you can see through, going darker around the lens rims and paler down the temples. The Oakley icon on each arm is a tonal dark grey rather than bright silver.
Prizm Black is a dark silver-grey mirror on the front that reads as a neutral grey from behind, one of the plainer Prizm tints. It is polarised, marked PRIZM P at the lower edge of the right lens. The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions.
