Description
The Holbrook is Oakley's square frame, built on a flat brow, a keyhole bridge and straight temples that run to the ear without a curve.
This is polished black, a high-gloss finish rather than the matte, with polarised Prizm Deep Water lenses. Deep Water is Oakley's offshore tint, made for long days on open water: the polarising filter kills the flat glare bouncing off the surface and Prizm holds contrast underneath it, so you are reading the water rather than squinting at it.
Head on the lens is a pale ice blue mirror. A blue Oakley icon on each temple picks it up against the black.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear.
