Description
The Wayfarer Classic has been in production since 1952, and tortoise is the other half of the original story: warmer than black, and easier to wear against most colours.
The G-15 lens was developed for military use, cutting glare while keeping colours true rather than tinting everything one way. On a warm tortoise acetate front it is the most classic pairing Ray-Ban makes.
Available in both Wayfarer Classic lens widths, 50mm and 52mm.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
