Description
The Wayfarer arrived in 1952, and the RB2140 keeps its original lines: a canted browline, sharp outer corners and wide temples that taper to a point.
Striped Blue is a translucent acetate run through with horizontal streaks of cobalt and deep navy, so the colour shifts along the brow and down the length of each arm. Silver rivets sit at the front corners. The lenses are a flat slate blue with no gradient and no mirror, tone on tone with the frame, and they are not polarised.
The inside of the arm reads RB 2140 1361/R5 50 22 150 3N, then Bio-Acetate Frame, so the fit figures below come off the pair itself and the 3N confirms a category 3 tint with no polarising filter.
