Description

The Round Metal is Ray-Ban's circular wire frame: thin rims, a slim arched bar sitting over the bridge, and a fine milled texture running along the top edge of each rim and across the bridge itself.

Gunmetal is a muted dark grey finish, carried through the rims, the bridge and the wire temples, which finish in black tips. The G-15 Green lens is the original Ray-Ban green, a dark natural tint that pulls brightness down while keeping colours close to what they actually are.

At 50mm the lens sits on the compact side of the round shape. The frame is metal and the lenses block 100% of UV.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
