Description
The Sutro Lite Sweep pairs Oakley's Sutro frame with the sweep lens shape first made popular by the Eyeshade. One oversized lens runs across both eyes under a flat brow, the lower edge is left open with no rim beneath it, and a cutout at the nose takes the place of a bridge. At each side the lens carries on past the end of the brow and sweeps back, so there is more lens at the edge of your view.
This pair is from Oakley's Patrick Mahomes II collection. Dark Galaxy is a black frame with a multicoloured fleck running through the brow, finished with a red Oakley icon on a ribbed gold plate at each hinge, a gold-toned centre bracket seen from behind and the Mahomes script etched across the top of the lens. Prizm Black is a dark, near-neutral grey with a light silver sheen on the outside, made for bright light.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, and the arms are cut with angular facets along their length. The lens is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear.
