Description
The HSTN is a round frame with a flat, faceted top: each rim is cut straight across the brow with angled shoulders, and a slim bar joins the two at brow height. Behind the hinge the arms step down in a sharp zigzag before running back to the ear, so the side view is as considered as the front.
This is the Matte Black colourway, matte black across the brow and the front of each arm, set over crystal clear lower rims and clear rear sections on the arms, with a dark Oakley icon on a brushed silver plate. Prizm Black is a dark, near-neutral grey with a light silver sheen, so the lens reads as cool and quiet against the clear frame.
It is polarised, so glare off water, wet road and glass is cut rather than only dimmed. The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, with nose pads set into the inner rims, and the lens measures 52mm across.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear.
