Description
The Explorer 3 is a squared metal frame with a double bridge. A straight bar runs across the top of the front and a second, lower bridge sits at the nose, and the corners are softly rounded rather than cut sharp, which keeps it closer to a clean rectangle than a classic aviator.
Arista Gold, Ray-Ban's gold, runs through the rims, the top bar and the fine wire temples, which finish in clear tips. The Clear Gradient Blue lens is a soft sky blue across the top that fades to almost clear at the bottom edge, so it tints the view without hiding your eyes. The stamp inside the arm marks it category 2, one step lighter than a standard dark sun lens.
It comes in two lens widths, 56mm and 59mm. The frame is metal, and the lens is not polarised.
