Description
The HSTN SQ squares the HSTN off: a flat brow bar running the full width of the front, corners cut from the base of each lens and a separate lower bridge sitting below it. The temples step down in a notch behind the hinge, so the side view is as considered as the front.
Matte Aubergine is a fade rather than a flat colour. A dusty, muted purple sits across the brow and the temples, then drops through the lower rims into a translucent sandy taupe you can see the light through. The Oakley icon plate on each temple is moulded in the same purple rather than picked out in metal.
Prizm Tungsten reads warm copper brown here, with no mirror on it from either side. It is polarised, so glare off water, wet road and glass is cut rather than only dimmed.
