Description
The HSTN SQ takes the HSTN and squares it off: a flat brow, cut corners at the base of the lens and a keyhole bridge. It reads closer to an optical shop than a sports counter, which is the point.
Matte Rootbeer here is a fade rather than a flat colour, deep brown across the brow dropping to a pale sand through the lower rim and the temples. The Prizm Tungsten lenses sit warm and bronze against it.
The frame is O Matter with a gold metal Oakley plate set into each temple.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear.
