Description
The HSTN SQ is a square lifestyle frame with the corners cut off the lens shape, so it reads more geometric than a plain square. A flat brow bar runs the full width of the front above a separate lower nose bridge, and the temples step down in a notched line behind the hinge.
The colourway is listed as Matte Black, but the frame is a two-tone. The brow bar and the top of the front are black, while the lower rim and the long part of each temple are clear frosted plastic, so the front splits in half when you look at it straight on. The hinge end of each arm stays black and carries a silver Oakley icon plate.
Prizm Black is a dark, near-neutral mirror, and this one is polarised, so glare off water, wet road and glass is cut rather than just dimmed.
