Ray-Ban and Oakley Special Orders: The Colourways We Don't Keep on the Shelf

A$AP Rocky, Ray-Ban creative director, wearing the black Mega Wayfarer

We stock a tight edit of Ray-Ban and Oakley in store. Both brands make far more colourways than any one shop can carry, so we've added a way to order in the ones we don't hold. If it's in stock with Ray-Ban or Oakley, you can order it from us and we'll get it in for you.

How a special order works

Special order frames sit on the site next to the stocked ones. The button says Special Order instead of Add to Cart, and the product page spells out the wait. Order it like anything else.

  1. You place the order online.
  2. We order the pair from Ray-Ban or Oakley the next working day.
  3. It lands at the store and we send it on to you, with a tracking email on the way out.

Start to finish is usually 1-2 weeks, occasionally up to 3 if the brand is slow to dispatch. Anything else in your cart ships straight away, so a tee ordered alongside doesn't wait for the sunnies. Normal Wally returns apply: 30 days, unworn, in original condition. We ship to Australia as well, with the usual transit time on top.

Wally is an authorised Ray-Ban and Oakley stockist. A special order pair comes through the brands' New Zealand distributor exactly as our stocked frames do, with 100% UV protection on every lens.

The Radar EV Path is the shield frame for cycling and running, and the EVZero Blades and M2 Frame XL sit alongside it. There is a Prizm Golf lens on the Half Jacket 2.0 XL. For everyday shapes there are the Sylas, Gibston, Permian, Belleville and De La Salle, and the Turbine, Batwolf, Neoforma and Portal Jacket round it out. The Eye Jacket Redux, Cage Jacket and Terraforma all pick up extra colourways beyond the ones in store too.

Sizing and style codes

Sunglasses sizes are the lens width in millimetres, so a Holbrook 55 and a Holbrook 59 are the same frame at two widths. If you've owned the model before, check the inside of the arm. The code reads something like RB3025 001/58 or OO9102 910202, and on Ray-Ban the number after the slash is the lens width. Every product page lists its style code under Fit, so you can type the code into the site search and land on the pair.

New to the model? Come in to Takapuna and try on what we hold from the same brand first. The stocked frames give you a feel for how each brand fits, and we can talk through the widths.

Why a colourway comes and goes

The list follows the brands' own stock. When Ray-Ban or Oakley run out of a colourway it drops off the site, and it comes back when they restock. If you're after something that isn't showing, ask us in store or email help@wally.co.nz and we'll check.
