Description
The Carmen Top in Trellis is a beautifully minimal bias cut top from Soleil Soleil, made from an embroidered cotton lace that feels special without being over the top. The Trellis fabrication takes the brand's Florienne floral artwork and translates it into a lattice of interwoven cotton, so the pattern sits in the structure of the fabric itself rather than as a surface print. The result is a sheer, textured lace with a handcrafted quality that catches the light in a really lovely way.
The silhouette is based on Soleil Soleil's best selling Carmen Dress, reimagined as a summer separate. The bias cut gives it a soft, fluid drape that skims the body without clinging, and it finishes with side splits at the hem for easy movement. A tie closure at the back adds a simple adjustable detail. Because it is sheer and unlined, there is a natural transparency to the fabric that works well over swimwear, a bralette, or layered over a simple singlet for a more covered approach.
Pair with the matching Petite Pareo for a coordinated resort look, or wear back with high waisted linen trousers and sandals.

About Soleil Soleil
Soleil Soleil was born when two textile designers, Emma and Isabel, met at a Sydney studio and bonded over vintage fabrics, slow fashion and lunch breaks at the beach. Now designing from two different hemispheres, they create resort wear and beachwear for sun chasers and golden days by the water. Every piece is consciously made, from printed linen sets and swimwear to towelling robes, scarves and bags. The brand is proudly carbon neutral, plants a tree with every order, and even offers free repairs.
