Description
The Square is Ray-Ban's flat-fronted metal frame, a thin wire rim drawn as a square with softly rounded corners. Adjustable nose pads, wire temples, and a front that sits wider and straighter on the face than the round or aviator shapes.
Arista gold with tortoise temple tips, and a grey gradient lens that runs dark across the top and clears towards the bottom. The gradient keeps the top of the lens doing the work against overhead light while the lower half stays open, so faces and detail up close are easier to read.
The lens is polarised, which cuts reflected glare off water, wet road and glass rather than just dimming it. One lens width, 54mm, which on a square front is a generous size.
