Description

The RB4473D sets an oval lens inside an angular, faceted front, so the outline reads soft from a distance and sharp up close. The temples run flat and wide out of the hinge, which keeps the profile looking solid rather than delicate.

This is the dark brown colourway with dark brown polarised lenses. The polarising filter cuts the glare coming off water, road and glass, and the warm brown tint lifts contrast on a bright day. The frame is injected nylon, with the Ray-Ban wordmark on the temple.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
