Description
The Large Metal is the Aviator at full size, the teardrop Ray-Ban drew in 1937 and has kept in the line ever since.
This is arista gold, the bright warm yellow tone the Aviator is best known in, running through the wire rims, the double bridge and the temples. Black temple tips, clear adjustable nose pads, and a tortoise detail tucked in behind the bridge.
The lenses are a grey gradient, darkest along the top and easing to a lighter grey at the bottom. It is a softer choice than a flat tint and it lets more of your face through, which is why the gradient tends to suit people who find a solid lens too heavy.
