Description

The Alix is a rimless shield, one sweeping lens held by a slim metal brow bar and nothing else. It is a new silhouette for Ray-Ban and the most futuristic thing in the range: full wrap coverage, minimal hardware, maximum lens.

This is the Silver colourway with a dark blue lens. Polished silver metal temples finish in a sprayed havana tip for a small pop of colour at the ear, and adjustable nose pads let you dial in the fit. The dark blue lens is a proper sun lens at around 15% light transmission, so it works in full sun.

Sport-shield shape, dressed up.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
