Description
The Sutro is an oversized one-piece shield in a full frame. One lens runs across both eyes under a flat top line, the rim carries on all the way around it, and a cutout at the nose takes the place of a bridge.
This is the Matte Carbon colourway, a dark charcoal in a flat matte finish through the front and arms, with a gold Oakley icon on a ribbed black plate at each hinge and a gold-toned bracket at the centre of the brow, seen from behind. Prizm 24K is a bright gold mirror over a warm brown base tint.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, and the arms are cut with angular facets along their length. The lens is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions. Worn at the highest level of sport and collected well beyond it.
