Description
The Sutro is an oversized one-piece shield in a full frame. One lens runs across both eyes under a flat top line, the rim carries on all the way around it, and a cutout at the nose takes the place of a bridge.
This is the Blue Steel colourway, a deep blue-grey with a fine metallic fleck through it, set off by an olive Oakley icon plate at each hinge and a run of fine diagonal stripes along each arm. Prizm Sapphire is a bright blue mirror that shifts to violet towards the outer edges, and it reads rose from behind.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, and the arms are cut with angular facets along their length. The lens is a category 3 tint and it is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions.
