Description
The Sphaera Slash is a one-piece shield. A single wrapped lens hangs below a brow bar that runs the full width of the frame, with a slot vent between the two above the nose, the lower edge left open and a cutout at the nose in place of a bridge. The lens is Oakley's slash shape, cut away on a steep angle at the lower outer corners to keep it clear of your cheeks.
This is the Matte Carbon colourway, a dark charcoal grey with a gold Oakley icon, gold pins at the ends of the brow and a gold bridge piece across the vent. Prizm Road shifts from violet through the centre to magenta and red, then orange and yellow at the outer corners.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, with an open window cut through each arm just behind the hinge and a slot cut into each outer end of the lens. This colourway is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions.
