Description
The Sphaera Slash is a one-piece shield. A single wrapped lens hangs below a brow bar that runs the full width of the frame, with a slot vent between the two above the nose, the lower edge left open and a cutout at the nose in place of a bridge. The lens is Oakley's slash shape, cut away on a steep angle at the lower outer corners to keep it clear of your cheeks.
This is the matte white colourway, with a black Oakley icon, a black nose piece, a black bridge piece across the vent, black linings inside the arm windows and black arm tips. Prizm Field is crimson through the middle running to orange at the outer corners, over a rose base tint you see looking out through it.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, with an open window cut through each arm just behind the hinge and a slot cut into each outer end of the lens. This colourway is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions.
