Description
The M2 Frame XL carries the one-piece shield shape Oakley built its reputation on, a single wrapped lens hung under a half-rim brow with nothing in the middle of the view. The XL runs the larger lens of the family, so the coverage extends further out to the sides.
This is the matte black front with polarised Prizm Black lenses. Prizm is Oakley's contrast-tuning lens technology, built to sharpen what you are looking at rather than just dim it, and the Black tint is the darkest of the family for hard, flat light. The polarisation takes out the glare bouncing off water and road.
The frame is O Matter, the lightweight material Oakley developed for its sport frames, and the whole thing reads blacked out apart from the Prizm mark on the lens.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions.
