Description
The HSTN SQ 2.0 is a squared frame with the corners cut off at the base of the lens, so the shape reads closer to a flattened hexagon than a plain rectangle. A flat brow bar runs across the top, with a keyhole bridge beneath it.
Matte Rootbeer is a fade rather than a solid colour: deep brown along the brow, dropping to a frosted, see-through sand at the lower rim. The arms are a dark smoky grey with a bronze Oakley icon plate set into each temple. Prizm Bronze is a warm brown lens with no heavy mirror, which suits the earthy frame.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material. This colourway is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions. Worn at the highest level of sport and collected well beyond it.
