Description

The RB3780 is an angular metal wrap, cut as a flattened hexagon with a straight bar across the top and a slim double bridge underneath. The lower outer corners drop away on a diagonal, so the front reads as one long sweep rather than two separate lenses.

The lens is a clear gradient blue, strongest at the brow and fading out to almost nothing along the bottom edge. It is a light tint, so the eyes stay visible through it, which is the point of a gradient rather than a flat dark lens.

Arista is Ray-Ban's warm yellow gold, and against a pale blue it sits warmer than a silver would. At 63mm of lens width this is the widest frame in the range.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
