Description
The RB2228 is a wraparound with an oval lens shape, so it sits tight to the face without the hard angles most wrap frames use. The rims are thick, the front curve is deep, and the temples flare out wide before hooking back.
This is the black colourway, gloss right through the front, the temples and the tips, with a small silver plate at each hinge and a white Ray-Ban wordmark on the arms. The lenses are blue, a cool steel tone that sits closer to grey than to a true blue, flat with no gradient and no mirror. The gloss finish is what separates it from the Rubber Black 622/31 in the same frame, which runs a soft-touch matte with dark green lenses.
The frame is nylon, which is light and holds its shape under a curve this deep. The lenses block 100% of UV.
