Description

Rubber black is the quietest way to wear a Wayfarer. The matte finish takes the shine off the frame completely, so the shape carries the pair and nothing catches the light.

Behind it sits G-15, Ray-Ban's classic green and the tint most people picture when they picture Ray-Ban. It is neutral rather than warm or cool, so it takes the brightness down without pushing colours around.

The New Wayfarer is the softened reworking of the 1952 shape, a little smaller in the front and rounder at the corners. This colourway comes on a nylon frame in two widths, 55mm and 58mm.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
