Description
The Mega Wayfarer takes the 1952 Wayfarer and scales it up. Same canted brow, same tapered corners, same rivets, but the rims are thicker and the front is deeper, so the shape carries far more presence on the face.
This is the Transparent Black colourway, a see-through smoky charcoal that runs from the front along the wide temples to the tips, with twin silver rivets at each front corner and the Ray-Ban script on each arm. The Dark Grey lens is a solid, even tint with no gradient or mirror, a neutral lens that darkens the view without shifting its colours.
The frame is propionate, and the inside of the front is stamped RB 0840-S Mega Wayfarer 1406/B1 51 21 145 3N, so the fit figures below come off the frame itself. A category 3 tint, the standard dark tier for bright sun, and not polarised.
