Description

The Balorama arrived in the 1960s as a wrapped frame that read as one piece across the face, and the Mega version pushes that further. A deep curve through the front, a high temple line, and lenses that carry round towards the side of the head rather than stopping at the eye.

This is the Blacked Out edition from the Ray-Ban x A$AP Rocky collection. Black propionate front, Ultra Black lenses in a deep neutral grey, and gold running through the details: plated rivets at each corner, the Ray-Ban signature on the front, and the AWGE mark on the temple.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
