Description
The Clubmaster arrived in the 1980s and took its shape from the browline frames of the 1950s: a heavy acetate brow carrying the whole front, with a thin metal rim holding the bottom of the lens.
Matte Black On Black is the version with nothing else going on. Black acetate on the brow and temples, black metal on the rims and bridge, and only the silver rivets and the Ray-Ban script to break it up.
The lens is the quieter part of the story. Rather than the near-black of the usual Clubmaster, this is a flat olive green you can see straight through, which keeps the frame looking lighter than a black-on-black usually does.
