Description

The Clubmaster is Ray-Ban's browline frame, heavy across the brow and open along the bottom of the lens. It has been in the catalogue since the 1980s and has not needed redrawing.

Grey on black is the low-contrast version. A grey brow sits over a black lower rim with dark grey lenses behind, so from any distance it reads as one dark frame and only separates into two tones up close.

Three lens widths, 49mm through 55mm.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
