Description

The Brunel is a broad, flat-topped rectangle in chunky propionate, squared off at the corners and kept low through the brow. Silver metal rivets sit at the end pieces where the front meets the temples.

This is the Striped Havana colourway, a warm reddish brown shot through with darker wood-grain striping that runs the full length of the temples. The lenses are dark blue and polarised, so glare off water, road and windscreens is cut rather than only dimmed.

It comes in two lens widths, 53mm and 56mm, so the same frame reads as either a moderate rectangle or a genuinely wide one.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
