Description

The Wire Tap 2.0 is a semi-rimless frame built on a thin C-5 alloy rim, open under the lens so there is very little on the face beyond the angular lens cut itself.

Pewter is the warm metal option, a soft champagne tone rather than a hard silver, run against a deep plum-grey lens. That lens is Prizm Daily Polarized, the everyday spec: contrast enhancement to sharpen what you are looking at, plus polarisation to kill reflected glare off water, road and glass.

Lens width is 60mm, and this is the premium end of the Wire Tap range.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions. Worn at the highest level of sport and collected well beyond it.
