Description
The Half Jacket 2.0 XL is Oakley's semi-rimless sport frame. The rim runs across the brow and down the sides, then stops, leaving the lower edge of the lens open. XL is the larger lens, so it covers more of the cheek than the standard Half Jacket.
This is the Matte Black colourway, flat black from the brow through to the temple tips, with a chrome Oakley icon on each arm. It carries polarised Prizm Black lenses, a dark grey with a light mirror over it. The polarising filter takes out the flat glare off water, wet road and windscreens, and the Prizm tuning keeps contrast working underneath.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, and the open lower edge keeps your view clear when you look down.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions.
