Description
The Gibston is Oakley's wrapped rectangle. The brow runs straight across the front and the lens curves back towards the hinge, so it sits closer to the face than a flat frame does, and the temples are broad and square with the Oakley icon set into the side.
Black Ink is a smoky translucent black. It reads black at a distance, but up close the light comes through the plastic and you can make out the hinge inside the temple. The Oakley icon on each arm is red, picked to match the lens.
Prizm Ruby is a red-orange mirror that runs to gold towards the edges. This is the polarised build, so the flat glare off water and wet road is filtered out while the Prizm tuning holds contrast underneath. The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium.
