About Miaou
Miaou was born in 2016 when LA-based designer Alexia Elkaim set out to make the perfect pair of pants. A Parsons graduate with a love of French things and cats (Miaou is how the French spell meow), she started sewing samples during her lunch breaks at a Midtown factory. Those body-hugging jeans went viral almost overnight, and Opening Ceremony was quick to pick up the brand. Today Miaou is a cult favourite for figure-flattering denim, corset tops, and going-out pieces that blend vintage sensibility with modern femininity.
