Description
The Staple is the plainest thing Kowtow makes and the one that gets worn the most. A ribbed crew neck, a relaxed body that sits off the frame rather than against it, and a slightly longer length so it stays put when you move.
Midweight organic cotton gives it enough substance to hold its shape and stay opaque, which is the thing that usually lets a white tee down. It is the one you keep replacing with itself.

Kowtow was founded in Wellington in 2006 with a clear purpose: to prove that ethical fashion can be beautiful, wearable, and modern. Every piece is designed in the Wellington workroom and crafted from certified Fairtrade organic cotton, entirely plastic-free, using shell, nut, and hemp buttons and natural rubber instead of synthetic elastic. Collections take over 18 months to develop, with each stage approached mindfully in close partnership with manufacturers in India.
