Description
From the Butter Goods x Daniel Johnston collaboration, the Enemy 5 Panel Cap in Black / Slate features Johnston's Enemy character rendered in direct embroidery on both the front and back panels. Daniel Johnston was a beloved American outsider artist and musician whose lo-fi recordings and distinctive hand-drawn artwork became cultural touchstones before his passing in 2019. The Enemy, one of his more intense creations, gets a clean, understated treatment here on a classic cotton twill cap.
The pinched front panel gives the cap a structured, slightly retro profile that sits well on the head. A mineral wash treatment softens the black and slate cotton twill, lending the piece a worn-in quality from day one. The self-fabric strap with metal buckle closure at the back provides a clean, adjustable fit. No plastic snaps, no mesh. Just honest materials and good design.
