Description
From the Butter Goods x Daniel Johnston collaboration, the Dragon Denim Shorts in Washed Black combine Johnston's dragon artwork with Butter Goods' signature baggy denim construction. Daniel Johnston was a beloved American outsider artist and musician whose lo-fi recordings and distinctive hand-drawn artwork earned him a place in independent culture. His dragon illustration appears here as screen prints on the back pockets, a subtle nod that rewards a closer look.
These are proper baggy-fit denim shorts with a generous, relaxed cut through the leg. The washed black finish softens the denim and gives the pair a broken-in feel. Practical details include belt loops with an internal drawstring at the waistband for a secure fit, and a PU patch branding detail on the waistband. At 23.6 inches outseam on a 32, these sit just above the knee.
