Description
The RB3780 is an angular metal wrap, cut as a flattened hexagon with a straight bar across the top and a slim double bridge underneath. The lower outer corners drop away on a diagonal, so the front reads as one long sweep across the face.
Gunmetal here is a cool mid grey with a soft shine rather than a bright chrome, carried across the front, the top bar and the fine wire temples. The tips are the one break from it, a streaked grey and black plastic that darkens right at the end. The green is deep, closer to bottle green than olive, and it sits flat against the grey with no mirror on the outside.
The lenses are polarised, which is the useful part on a frame this wide: they cut reflected glare off water, road and glass rather than only dimming everything down. At 63mm of lens width this is the widest frame in the range, and the metal is kept fine everywhere to stop that scale turning heavy.
