Description
The RB2243D is a squared frame with a flat top edge and corners taken off at an angle, so it reads wider and more upright than a standard rectangle. The rims are thick and the temples are flat and broad from the hinge back.
Gloss black acetate again, this time with dark green lenses. It is the same frame as the plain black RB2243D and the lens is the difference: this one is polarised, and it carries the small P beside the Ray-Ban signature on the left lens to say so.
Polarised lenses cut the glare that reflects off water, road and glass rather than just dimming everything, and they block 100% of UV.

About Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with a commission from the US Army Air Corps: build a lens pilots could trust against glare at altitude. The result became the Aviator, and the Wayfarer followed in 1952, two of the most recognised and most copied designs in eyewear history. Nearly a century on, the icons remain in production largely unchanged while a new generation of designs, from bio-based frames to the sculptural Puffer series, keeps the catalogue moving. Few brands span military kit, film wardrobes and everyday essentials in the same breath.
