Description
The Sutro Lite is the semi-rimless version of the Sutro. One oversized lens runs across both eyes under a flat brow, the lower edge is left open with no rim beneath it, and a cutout at the nose takes the place of a bridge.
This is matte white, with black rear sections on the arms, a black nose piece, a gold Oakley icon on a black plate at each hinge and a gold-toned centre bracket seen from behind. Prizm Black is a dark grey lens under a light silver mirror, the one to reach for in bright, open light, with Prizm keeping the contrast up so detail does not wash out.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, and the arms are cut with angular facets along their length. The lens is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions.
