Description
The Instagator is a bold rectangle from Oakley, drawn with sharp lines and made to move between the beach and the city. The front is thick and squared off with end pieces that flare out at the hinge, and the wide temples carry the Oakley icon above a carved contour pattern running back along each arm.
Matte Black is a flat black all over, with the icon in silver. Prizm Black is a dark grey lens with a light silver sheen, made for bright sun.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight, flexible frame material, and the lens measures 58mm across on an 18mm bridge. The lenses are polarised to cut reflected glare off water and wet roads, with Prizm sharpening colour and contrast on top.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions. Worn at the highest level of sport and collected well beyond it.
